Hello! And welcome to the new home for Midnight Movie Madness @ Liberty Hall!

So here it is, the new home for all things MMM on the web. Everything is still under construction, so keep an eye on this space for changes and updates. We would LOVE to hear from you, so comment away. If you have any suggestions for additions you would like to see on the blog, now’s the time. As far as requests for movies to be shown at a future MMM event, we are always open to suggestions. But please bear in mind that as of right now we can only show twelve movies a year, so please don’t be offened if your favorite movie EVAR doesn’t get selected. Also bear in mind that there are certain restrictions….. Which leads me to the FIRST EVER MMM BLOG POST!

Q: WHY DON’T YOU GUYS SHOW “STAR WARS” / “INDIANA JONES”/”WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT”?

A: Because certain individuals and film studios won’t let us. Simple as that. So the general rule is, No Disney, No Lucasfilm. There are a few others, but those two seem to be the biggest. BUT, for every rule there is an exception. One of those exceptions might be coming in the not too distant future…..hehehehehe.

Q: WILL ALL OF THE MOVIES BE SHOWN ON FILM?

A: When feasible. I’ll be totally honest with you nice folks. Not every film we want to show is still available on 35mm, and as regulars to MMM can attest, the condition of said 35mm prints can range from awesome (The Shining, Dr. Strangelove) to awful (Pulp Fiction, it was missing like 10 min of footage). That’s one reason we will show certain films in High Def. Yeah that’s right, Liberty Hall got an HD upgrade. But the other reason is cost. It costs us a pretty penny just for the rights to show a film, if you add on another couple of hundred dollars for shipping….. it starts to get expensive quickly for us.

Q: YOU GUYS ROCK! WHAT CAN WE DO FOR YOU?

A: Tell your friends and then drag them out to a MMM event. Support the cause by buying a T-Shirt (Details Coming Soon) At this point, we just need enough folks to come out and see The Big Lebowski on June 12th to fund the next MMM. So be there, or be square.
